Agents to hear about ‘Call Before You Serve Notice’ service

Agents and landlords are invited to what a council calls “an invaluable local conference where they can get free advice from experts.”

The two-hour event is in Derby from 6pm on Wednesday October 9, and is being held in tandem with the East Midlands Property Owners (EMPO), a non-profit organisation founded back in 1942.

An Erewash council spokesperson says: “We are only too aware that major issues … are rent arrears and giving notice to tenants – and these too will be covered. Erewash is proud to support a scheme called CB4YS – Call Before You Serve. It is an invaluable resource aimed at helping landlords and preventing homelessness. Details are on the Erewash Borough Council website.”

CB4YS is run by DASH Services, which is also backing the conference.

A spokesman for EMPO adds: “We are dedicated to helping landlords navigate the complexities of property management and legal compliance, ensuring they can maintain high standards in the private rented sector.

“By advocating for landlords’ interests and offering essential support, EMPO strives to create a thriving environment where landlords are well-equipped to manage their properties effectively and responsibly.”
